What to expect

Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. It also will help relieve any unnecessary anxiety you may be feeling. Educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing the content on this Web site. Please bring with you any important medical records such as recent spinal X-rays or MRI reports.Plan on spending approximately one and a half hours in the office for the first visit to fully assess your health status.

Dr. Levin will first listen in detail to your current health concerns as well as your past medical history as an important step in determining the underlying causes of your condition. You will then receive a thorough examination including neurological, orthopedic and chiropractic tests to determine any areas of spinal or other disfunction. X-rays will be taken to determine spinal misalignments, arthritis or other diseases. If additional testing or consultation with another doctor is needed, this will be arranged. Before beginning treatment, Dr. Levin will review the examination results with you. Your treatment plan will be outlined and any questions will be answered before care begins. Treatment will often consist of spinal manipulation, massage or other physical therapy as well as instuction in a home exercise/stretching program. Many patients also benefit from specific nutritional testing and recommendations. We carry a full line of hight qualityphamaceutical grade supplements available only to physicians.
